Malayala Manorama absorbs two MCJ students from Angadikadavu Don Bosco Arts & Science College Yet another major breakthrough for journalism department at Don Bosco Arts & Science College, Angadikadavu, affiliated to the University of Kannur! Akhil Rajan and Rubeeza Akbar just completing their MCJ (Master of Communication and Journalism) here will join Malayala Manorama, the leading daily in Malayalam, on June 1, Wednesday, 2016. Akhil hails from Idukki, and Rubeeza from Kannur. Hearty Congratulations.


College will remain closed from Wednesday 23rd March 2016 and will be reopened on Wednesday 30th March 2016 for University and Internal Examinations for all.


Former Vice-Chancellor of Kerala University, Dr. J. V. Vilanilam urged the students getting educated with the special care and consideration received from their parents to recognize their obligation to shape their future without making compromises in their commitment to studies. Inaugurating the College Day Celebrations here on 21-03-2016 (Monday), Dr. Vilanilam, said, “Students are primarily accountable and answerable to their parents. Any attempt to ignore their role and involvement will only end up in a disaster. We are what we are first and foremost because of our parents.” Dr. Vilanilam acknowledged the uniqueness of the educational system of Don Bosco and said, “Efficacy in education can be brought only when it is embedded on three Rs: Reason, Religion and Relationship. There should be a proper blend of intellectual, emotional and spiritual growth. Students should develop a critical mind and ask questions, need to be in touch with God giving due respect to all religions and must have emotional maturity with a well-formed conscience.” Dr. J.V. Vilanilam presented scholarships to the best performing students of all the outgoing batches. College Rector and Manager Fr. Dr. K.O. Thomas, Vice-Principal Fr. Bastin Nellissery, Staff Representative Mr. Baby P.J., PTA President Mr. Vijayan, College Union Chairman Seby Anson, Union General Secretary Shelbin John , and Arts Secretary Juvel Kuriakose spoke on the occasion. Principal Fr. Dr. Francis Karackat presented the annual report. The programme was punctuated with songs and dances by students.


Don Bosco Arts & Science College won the THIRD PLACE in the Kannur University Arts Festival for off-stage items held at Govt. Brennen College, Thalassery.

MCJ Third Semester University Examinations will begin on February 9th 2016 (Tuesday) and will end on 19th February 2016 (Friday)


Internal Assessment for BA/BCom/BSc/BBA/BCA/BSW will begin on February 8th 2016 (Monday) and will end on 13th February 2016 (Saturday).
