Two day orientation programme is organised for the fresh students of Don Bosco Arts & Science College.
A seven day BSW Rural Camp Inaugurated at Goverment High School Chenad, Sulthan bathery. Sulthan Bathery Municipality Chairman Ramesh TK inaugurated the week-long Rural Camp for the BSW students at Don Bosco Arts & Science College, to enhance their skills for social work. Students will be engaged in household survey, cleaning drive, manual labour, and cultural programmes with the people of the locality.

1. Wear face mask covering your nose and mouth, wherever you are, in the campus. 2. Sanitize. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds including palms, backs of each hand, between fingers, thumbs and under nails. Rinse and dry hands well. 3. Maintain social distance and avoid crowding. 4. Follow respiratory etiquettes strictly. This involves strict practice of covering one’s mouth and nose, while coughing/sneezing, with a tissue/handkerchief/flexed elbow and disposing of used tissues properly. 5. Do not spit in public places. 6. Self-isolate and report to the college authorities and go for medication in case of any symptoms of COVID-19. 7. Symptomatic persons are to get clinically assessed before their entry into the campus. Those having symptoms of fever, cough or difficulty in breathing are strictly prohibited from entering the campus and hostels. 8. Avoid discrimination of fellow students who had a history of COVID-19 disease in the family. 9. Give support to your companions under stress due to COVID-19 pandemic. 10. Contact your class teacher for help and guidance.
As per the UGC Regulations 2009, ‘Ragging’ constitutes one or more of any of the following acts: 1. Any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or by an act with rudeness affecting a fresher or any other student. 2. Indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities by any student or students which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship, physical or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in any fresher or any other student. 3. Asking any student to do any act which such students will not in the ordinary course do and which has the effect or causing in generating a sense of shame, or torment or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of such fresher or any other student. 4. Any act by a senior student that prevents, disrupts or disturbs the regular academic activity of any other student or a fresher. 5. Exploiting the services of a fresher or any other student for completing the academic tasks assigned to an individual or a group of students. 6. Any act of financial extortion or forceful expenditure burden put on a fresher or any other student. 7. Any act of physical abuse including all variants of sexual abuse, homosexual assaults, stripping, forcing obscene and lewd acts, gestures, causing bodily harm or any other danger to health or person. 8. Any act or abuse by spoken words which would also include deriving perverted pleasure, vicarious or sadistic thrill from actively or passively participating in the discomfiture to fresher of any other student. 9. Any act that affects the mental health and self-confidence of a fresher or any other student with or without an intent to derive a sadistic pleasure or showing off power, authority or superiority by a student over any fresher or any other student. 10. Discrimination, harassment and offensive conduct against any person, student on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, creed, ancestry, familial status, age or disability, marital status, height, weight, sexual orientation, disability or status or other protected status through any mode of communication including, but not limited to, in person, in writing, through telephone, electronic mail or instant messaging is prohibited. ……………………………………………… PUNISHMENT FOR RAGGING.................... The UGC Regulations stipulate that students can be expelled from an institute and debarred from taking admission to any other institute for a specified period after being guilty of the offence. As per the regulations any students can be fined up to Rs. 2.5 Lakhs if found guilty of ragging. Depending on the nature and gravity of the offence as established by the Anti-Ragging Committee, the possible punishments for those found guilty of ragging shall be any one or any combination of the following: 1. Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges. 2. Debarring from appearing in any test/examination or other evaluation process. 3. Debarring from representing the institution in any regional, national or international meet, tournament, youth festival etc. 4. Suspension/expulsion from the hostel. 5. Cancellation of admission. 6. Rustication from the institution and consequent debarring from admission to any other institution for a specified period. 7. Fine ranging from Rs. 25,000/- to Rs. 2.5 lakh.

Journalism Department of Don Bosco Arts & Science College Angadikadavu Organised an RJ HUNT for the students who completed their last semester degree examinations in march/April 2021. Ms. Badra Vinod from DGMMES College won The First prize. Sneha Elizabeth from Don Bosco College Sulthan Bathery Won the Second prize. The third prize is shared between Ms. Aparna of Gurudev College & Drishya Anil of Don Bosco Arts & Science College Angadikadavu. Congratulations to all winners
The Kerala State Women's Commission 2020 Media Award for the Best Feature on Women is won by Sreekala MS, an alumnus of the Department of Journalism, Don Bosco College Angadikadavu. Sreekala completed her Master of Communication and Journalism course in 2016. She is currently working as a subeditor in Mathruboomi Newspaper, Thrissur, Kerala. A feature on Suhara, who is a fishmonger, won Sreekala the award. Suhara, 62, from Thrissur, sells fish on her cycle. The cycle is her mode of transport, and she pedals 20 kilometres every day to reach her customers with a variety of fresh fish. She sells on average 30-35 kilos of fish. After ten in the morning, Suhara is available for other chores like carrying cement at the building site, payment of bills of neighbours, irrigation works, and the like. She ekes a living also by transporting dead bodies found in queer circumstances. Suhara, educated up to the seventh standard, lives alone as both her parents are no more. Sreekala won the award for highlighting the peculiar way an ordinary woman lights up her own life and others in the society, observed the jury.
