DIME – Don Bosco Intercollegiate Media Extravaganza, the Journalism Fest, was successfully conducted on 8th and 9th January 2026, witnessing enthusiastic participation from around 260 students representing various colleges.
The fest focused on providing professional visual media production training, followed by a series of competitive events. The competitions included Television News Presentation, Short Film Production, Television Programme Anchoring, Radio Jockey, Reels Making, and Photography.
The training sessions were led by eminent media and film professionals, including Mr. Saneesh T.K. (Chief News Producer & Anchor, Manorama News), Adarsh Augustine (Vocalist, Sound Engineer & Assistant Professor, Film School), Mr. & Mrs. Sachin (Digital Media Influencers), Melbin Mathew Thomas (Associate Film Director), Vipin Muraleedharan (Senior Cameraman, Asianet News), and RJ Nidhin Midhina (Professional Vocal Artist & Radio Jockey).
On 7th January at 7.00 PM, a Mega Media Cultural Extravaganza directed by Mr. Jino Joseph (Malayalam Theatre Director and Winner of the Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards) was staged. The event was further enriched by a fashion show presented by Lavero Modelling Company.
On 9th January, a special session on Screenwriting and Direction was conducted by Mr. G.R. Indugopan, an award-winning film director and screenwriter.
The fest concluded on a high note with a violin performance by Martina Charles, marking a memorable end to the two-day media extravaganza
