Iritty Deputy Superintendent of Police Sudersan formally inaugurated the week-long Vana Mahotsav, with the launch of ‘Afforestation Drive’ planting trees in the campus. Saplings of rare species of trees were collected from various quarters under the leadership of Gokul Gopinanthan, the Third Semester BSW student. The saplings will be planted in the upcoming week in the most suited areas to make the campus more eco-tuned.


A variety of electrifying dance sequences and melodious songs made the opening cultural programme of the new academic year at the Amphi Theatre on 23rd June 2016 special and amazing. The dancers and singers from different batches enthralled the largely crowded audience, with their scintillating performances at 3.30 pm after the class hours, breaking the monotony of their rigorous intellectual pursuit, and making the campus life ever more thrilling. Once in two weeks a batch will perform on Amphi Theatre, after adequate practice and rehearsal. Sojimon C.C., Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism is the Staff Coordinator of Amphi Theatre Programme. The duration of the performance is restricted to 40 minutes. The students from the Department of Mathematics will showcase their talents in the Amphi Theatre next.


The NSS units of Don Bosco Arts & Science College observed the international Yoga day with awareness campaign on the benefits of Yoga and also conducted a yoga class in which the NSS volunteers took part. The class included various breathing techniques like 'pranayama' and many 'asanas'. The Physical Education trainer and yoga practitioner Mr. Bibin Antony handled the class. NSS program officers Mr. Sarath Krishnan and Mrs. Rajisha C.K. also took part.


The three-day annual spiritual retreat for the Catholic students animated by Fr. Mathew Asariparambil and his team of 12 counsellors from Mother Home, the Charismatic Retreat Centre at Pariyaram, Kannur, was a transformative experience, giving them a timely opportunity for an inner journey and introspection. The retreat was held at the newly blessed chapel from February 1 to 3, 2018, from Thursday to Saturday from 9.30 in the morning to 3.30 in the evening. “Don Bosco Arts & Science College, Angadikadavu has about 760 Catholic students. It is the college with the highest number of Catholic students in Kannur University. Students responded to the retreat positively and seriously. Several of them had God-experience enlightening and guiding along the right life track,” said Principal Fr. Dr. Francis Karackat.


As part of Kerala Day celebrations (Kerala Piravi), there will be a special interdepartmental carnival contest, in the morning from 9.30 to 11.30 on Monday, November 1, with the students in the department presenting themselves in the auditorium in the traditional Kerala attire. Department HoDs, Incharges, Class Teachers and Department Students Coordinators should have a meeting together to plan the programme, ensuring that it has the required standard. It is hosted by the Departments of Malayalam, Hindi and Social Work, in collaboration with the Nature Club of our college.


WELiVE, a project under DISA, organised a capacity building programme for the women entrepreneurs in Ayyankunnu Gram Panchayat on 20-06-2023 at Ayyankunnu Grampanchayath Hall.
