The Best NSS Programme Officer Award and the Best NSS Volunteer Award are won by Nithinkuttan PK and Akhil Devasia respectively. Similarly, the NSS Unit won awards in the academic year 2017-2018. The Don Bosco NSS Unit has 100 student volunteers and two programme officers. The various programmes aim to instil the idea of social welfare in students and service to society. The college has built three homes, Snehaveedu, for the needy in three consecutive years. The student volunteers are at the forefront in the education of tribal youth, relief-works during the floods and the pandemic, organic farming, free food distribution for the children in orphanages, anti-tobacco and anti-drugs campaigns, and awareness workshops for various stakeholders.
