College has mentoring system with each and every student in the campus being personally guided by a teacher. The mentor as a friend and role model facilitates your transition from adolescence to adulthood, equipping you for a career and preparing you for a family life.
Mentor is a wise and trusted counselor who coaches, teaches, advises, supports, guides and helps the mentees achieve their goals, teaches both how to get things done, and what not to do. Mentor values the mentee as a person, fosters mutual trust and respect and maintains confidentiality.
Don Bosco Initiatives for Social Action (DISA) is an offshoot of the Postgraduate Department of Social Work (MSW) in our college to reach out to the needy especially the disadvantaged and vulnerable children, youth, women and the aged in the neighbourhood, empowering them with programmes and projects tailored to their aspirations.
As a social service platform of the college, registered under the Angadikadavu Don Bosco Society (Reg. No. 499/1994), DISA collaborates, networks and partners with governmental and non-governmental agencies to make the neighbourhood areas economically efficient, socially equitable and environmentally sustainable entities.
CHILDLINE is a 24-hour emergency outreach service for children in need of care and protection and it’s a project of Ministry of Women and Child Development. CHILDLINE India Foundation is the Nodal Organisation for CHILDLINE service across the country. Here Don Bosco Institute of Higher Education is working as a Nodal organization which ensures coordination, training, research, documentation, awareness and advocacy of children in vulnerable conditions.
